Innovarlos panel integrated by representatives from 3 companies, the Regional Government of Catalonia, EADA Business School and UOC professors as well as the Economy for the Common Good.

The Open University of Catalonia (UOC), has renewed its collaboration agreement with the International Federation of the Economy for the Common Good (ECG) and signed a broader collaboration agreement for leveraging research initiatives of the economic ecosystem. Based in Barcelona and focused on online education, the Business and Economics School developed several activities during 2023 to promote the study of sustainable economic models. The University hosted various panels with companies, other higher education and civil society organisations, policy makers, academics and researchers such as the Innovalors workshops.

UOC has also engaged in the analysis and discussion of the Common Good Balance Sheet as an efficient approach to the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Most of the students at UOC are working professionals, as the online format allows them to pursue higher education while growing their careers. This makes for great feedback for both the university and the active projects, as they are able to apply what they learn in real time.

The Science and Research Hub of the ECG partners with several higher educational institutions to create valuable relationships with teachers and researchers, raise awareness in the sustainable economy field and promote relevant academic curriculums that introduce contents and practices on graduate and executive programs, as a starting point.
