The Economy for the Common Good (ECG) Uruguay, together with Ethical Banking LATAM, hosted Joan Melés’s participation on October 2022, in Río de Plata, Uruguay, during their Latin American Tour. Joan Antoni Melé is the president of “Dinero y Conciencia” foundation and promoter of Ethical Banking all over the world.
During the face-to-face conference “Conscious use of money towards an economy based on values”, Joan Melé focused on the specific alternatives that Ethical Banking proposes for Río de la Plata, as well as the experience and results of their first financed projects in Uruguay. Gualberto Trelles, engineer and co-founder and coordinator of ECG Uruguay, presented the specific proposals that the ECG movement offers and how they integrate with Ethical Banking initiatives to promote the conscious exercise of economic activity in favor of environmental, social and cultural regeneration in the region.
