The “Sustainability and Common Good Municipalities, Basics – Instruments – Practices” is the first edition of a central study developed by the Bertelsmann Foundation, the ICLEI European Secretariat and the International Federation for the Economy of the Common Good (ECG). The research revolves around the growing number of municipalities in Germany that are orienting their strategic development towards the principles of sustainability and the common good. These concepts complement each other and can be integrated and applied hand in hand.
