AlpWeek 2024 is an international event focused on sustainable development and mountain protection, taking place from September 23 to 25, 2024, in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. This year’s theme, “Alps in our hands,” emphasizes the critical role everyone plays in shaping the future of the Alpine region.

Twenty years have passed since the inaugural AlpWeek in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, in 2004. Over the years, numerous initiatives and policies have played pivotal roles in the sustainable development of the Alpine region. AlpWeek 2024 offers a unique opportunity to explore avenues for cooperation, ignite innovative project ideas, and draw inspiration to collectively shape the future of the Alps. With thought-provoking lectures, interactive workshops, engaging panel discussions, cultural events, enriching excursions, and a collaborative co-working space, AlpWeek 2024 promises to be an inspiring experience for all attendees.

One of the highlights of the event will be the participation of Christian Felber, CEO and initiator of the “Economy for the Common Good”. Christian Felber will deliver a keynote speech titled “Economy for the common good – An economic model for a good quality of life.” to address and explore future-oriented alternatives to the current economic system, focusing on the well-being of all and the integration of the common good into political decision-making processes.
